Wondering whether anyone out there knows anything about a reasonably priced video camera system that one could mount on one's bicycle helmet. Idea would be that the system would automatically keep the most recent ten minutes (or so) in memory (i.e. on a "rolling" basis). Then if the user wanted to save "footage" of some incident that just happened, he/she would activate appropriate buttons or whatever to store it in longer-term memory, and then download later on to analyze, save as evidence, give to police, etc. Needless to say the video should date/time stamp - and maybe even GPS. Weatherproof, reasonably lightweight, etc.
Sorry if this seems Big Brother-ish, but I don't see why motorists are entitled to anonymity when they regularly pose - intentionally or not - life-and-death threats to non-motorists who are attempting to use public thoroughfares. Hans Noeldner
