I've seen ads for helmet mounted video cams targeted at skiers, off road riders etc. I don't remember what they cost.

Idea would be that the system would automatically keep the most recent ten minutes (or so) in memory (i.e. on a "rolling" basis). Then if the user wanted to save "footage" of some incident that just happened, he/she would activate appropriate buttons or whatever to store it in longer-term memory, and then download later on to analyze, save as evidence, give to police, etc. Needless to say the video should date/time stamp - and maybe even GPS. Weatherproof, reasonably lightweight, etc. Sorry if this seems Big Brother-ish, but I don't see why motorists are entitled to anonymity when they regularly pose - intentionally or not - life-and-death threats to non-motorists who are attempting to use public thoroughfares.
