As of 12-12, the entire trail was plowed, but as the signs point out,
not salted or sanded. I recommend good studded tires and a healthy
sense of self-preservation. Here's what it looked like then:

In spite of what those look like, there were lots of stretches of bare
pavement even then. Probably more so having been through a few freeze-
thaw cycles since, particularly in the sunny spots.
