The one important point is that you need exactly the same number of cars -
with one person each - in the exact same location as the shot of the bus and
the ped/bike shot. The entire purpose is to show how many people, and in how
much space, can be moved via various modes.

There are a couple ways to do the car and bus shots:

The classic way is to show the cars, then show the same number of people
sitting on chairs in the position they would sit if driving the car, i.e.
approximately 12 feet apart laterally, and 25 feet (?) linearly. Then the
same people move their chairs into the position they would take up if using
bus seats. Often the bus itself is not even in the photo. Finally, you have
the same number of people on the same street riding bikes and walking.

The Des Moines set of photographs have people standing next to the vehicles
instead of sitting in chairs.

If you use a standard shot of peak hour traffic, you are going to need to do
quite a bit of Photoshop work, and the frame of the photo won't be the same.
Mostly, to do the shot on Ride the Drive, we just need people to show up,
ready to pose, after the streets are closed and before the event kicks off.
Obviously, we need OK, but the rest can be organized fairly easily.
