I made a trailer out of the back of two old steel bikes. The hardest part about building the trailer was the arm for connecting to the bike. There is a link....www.re-cycle.org/trailer/ that shows this style of trailer but the trailer they built uses two front forks. If you have extra bikes around this can be done quite easily if you have a friend with a welder.. I have hauled small portions of trees on mine and it has held up well.
