Apparently the city thinks if it puts up a sign calling a bicycle boulevard and begs motorists to share the road and yield to bicyclists, that something will change. City staff do know many ways to make this a legitimate bicycle boulevard. We now have one bicyclist dead at Baldwin and this latest crash at Ingersoll. How will the mayor be able to argue for platinum status when the few bicycle boulevards the city has are not in anything more than a name. Maybe the Bike Fed should take the lead role in advocating for this improvement.
