Generally, I don't have a problem with businesses that DON'T want to take my money, esp. major corporations. I just find a business that WILL take my money, and notify the other business why they just lost my patronage.

My credit union, BTW, actually advertises that members on bikes and on foot (I think I even rolled up on my Sting Ray kick scooter once) are _welcome_ at their "drive-up" window. This is the free market fulfilling itself; smart businesses recognize that we have money to spend; those that refuse do so at their peril.

I am curious what others may think of this.

I ride everywhere, have not taken a bus in over 6 months, and used green cab
only for doctor apointments when I had celulitis in my foot and couldn't walk
for a few weeks. I use the drive up window at my bank all the time, winter,
rain or shine. Never had a problem.

Last Saturday night I was riding and went to Burger King on E. Wash. after
finding the inside closed I went to the drive through and was refused service
because I was not in a motorized vehicle. They said it was an insurance issue,
and asked what if I was hit by a car?

I replied that I have a tail light, headlight, and ride in traffic all the time, no
problem. They threatend to call the police. I told them that they should, and then the
manager came out with another employee and tried to "reason" with me. I am
sorry to say that after all this I was getting mad, and because there was some poor guy
in a car waiting behind me all this time, I called them assholes and left.

So, does anyone else have a problem with this? I used to ride a motorcycle and
go through the drive through all the time, no one ever refused me service.
