"Fitchburg: One of the best places to bike in Dane County!"
I hope so. A few years back one of your local officials (mayor, maybe?) had a
row with a biker which wound up with the biker implanted in the rear end of the
official's car. Lawyers were called, etc. For a while after that Fitchburg
cops were stopping bikers regularly for piddly perceived offenses. I was
stopped for not putting my foot down when stopping at a stop sign when turning
onto CTH M.Haven't had any problem since, other than the occasional aspiring
NASCAR driver.
