Oh, I know there were large vehicles that were not exactly truck and not
exactly car, but I don't think the SUV nomenclature came into use until
the late 1980s or early 1990s, which would be more recent than Tim's "at
least 30 years ago."  "Almost 30 years ago," would have been believable.
