But is another highway even needed if we create more transportation options such as Mike suggest? Bus and bike, but also more passenger and freight rail would do a lot. Plus new ideas such as PRT (personal rapid transit), car sharing, better regional planning, and self driving cars could lead to much less congestion. I think Mike's point was to try the other options first before building more highways.
