I'm struggling with getting new users to be able to get email functionality on my server. It's just a small setup for my = family. I can login just fine, but a newly created user for my wife cannot.
I have set
allow plain auth in non ssl =3D "yes"
in the .conf-file
when i "telnet localhost imap" I can login as "bosse" (which is me), but = not as the newly created linux user "lotta" (which is my wife).
Can you send the output of the telnet session.
like
telnet localhost imap
a001 login username password (change password for the maillinglist) -> at this place binc should give some output, why it failed.
