You're right again, it's there in /usr/bin/checkpw. I'll
replace it as soon as possible. Wonder if it's used elseware
though...

Yes, I created a .password file and put her password in it
(in cleartext). checkpassword uses the users system password
I guess? With checkpw I can change the mail password only. I
guess that's a feature I'll never use though.

Peter: Haha! Just as I write this I made the "apt-get install bincimap"
to update it, it now shows:
