Using Microsoft Outlook XP, something gets horrendously confused.

2) Some emails appear to have today's date, even though they're months old.
This causes them to appear at the top of the list, above emails that are
actually new. Clicking on them sometimes (but not always) causes them to
disappear. I assume that Outlook is noticing the real date and moving them
around in the list. This problem doesn't seem to occur with SquirrelMail.

Nor does it seem to occur with Thunderbird.

3) Sometimes, similarly to the above, emails appear to have an attachment.
When clicked on, it turns out that they don't. Again, this problem doesn't
appear in SquirrelMail.

Any thoughts?

"Don't use Outlook" is not an option. I make extensive use of the Calendar and Contacts features, so I'm stuck with it.

Cheers,
Roger.
