I did a make reinstall and a make reinstall on the port and now have
version 1.2.6 final did a svc -d and svc -u to restart the server and
still have the same problems. Got some stuff to take care of but will
be back soon to do some more experimenting. Also i my internal network
does not (ie Mozilla from 192.168.0.1) work when i set the the ip
address to my external ip 68.xx.xx.xx in the run file. Is there a way
to have more than one ip ideally one ip and one host name
computerking.ca and 192.168.0.202.

i hope. Oh ya what and wherer is recordio is it going to fill my
harddrive with log by the time i shut it off or something??
recordio dumps its log output to the regular log files, typically
/var/opt/log/bincimap or /usr/local/var/log/bincimap.

The only thing I worry a bit about here is that the 1.2.3 version might
have had problems with this command line argument. Have you tried
upgrading to a more recent version of the server?
For all I can tell, you've done it all correct and the server should allow
plain connections.
Andy :-)
