My opinion is that I appreciate the bifolks mentioning that the ad was pulled after complaints, but I wouldn't write to "thank" them (match.com or msn) for pulling the ad, I would write to tell them how bigoted they are to allow it to be posted and not taking it down immediately on their own.  I agree w/whoever said that if the ad said "why I wouldn't date a black" it would have been pulled immediately or not allowed to post in the first place.   We're not going to be treated respectfully by waiting for capitalism to decide it's not economically helpful to them to post bigoted ads; we have to demand our rights and condemn those who post bigoted shit in the first place. We're not going to be treated as equal human beings with the right not to be slandered and put down without getting in the face of the people who post such crap and the publications that allow it, be they free ads or for money ads.   Growing up bi in the south, the racist white south (I am white); I never saw the homophobia and racism around me subside until I got in people's faces and made it clear I wasn't going to tolerate either kind of bigotry being expressed around me; and I didn't care how many there were of the homophobes and racists, they weren't going to get by with it no matter if they kicked my ass or not.  I'd catch em later when they weren't in "the group" if they did kick my ass and give them back what they gave me.  They'd see me around and start to put out some bigoted crap and stop, because they knew what was coming from me.  If people are on our backs, they are not going to get off just because we ask them politely, I know I've tried that many, many times.  But when we say 'you will get off now' and 'you will stay off my back' and throw them off, they think twice before trying to climb back on.  For many bigots just being confronted once will shut them up, at least in public, forever, because they know somebody hearing that trash might just be one of those types who isn't gonna take it.   my 2 cents,   Ronni   Apply for Commercial Real Estate loans online and submit your deal to dozens of hungry lenders in just minutes.
