Actually, in preparation for this, Sun has been spending a bunch of time
working on their Web-Start software.
http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/index.html

It just is a link you click on that downloads a small JRE to the user's
desktop as part of the app, then your java program gets sent down also.
