He has probably bridged his laptop's LAN adapter and the Wireless
adapter. You can do that easily in Windows XP: highlight the 2
adapters, right click, select "Bridge Connections".

Subject: [biz] Making wired VoIP phone into wireless

Hi all,

Sorry if this question sounds a bit silly:

But is it possible to use a not wireless VoIP phone (such as Aastra
9133i) in a non-wired environment? I am thinking maybe somehow
attaching it to my wireless laptop but I dont know if my laptop would
work the same as a router.

So anyway of doing it or am I dreaming? ;) Thanks in advance.

p.s. i am trying to experiment ;) as one of the working facilities
where I work at does not any wiring whatsoever. so i am trying to save
money instead of buying 100ft cable ;)
p.s.s. ... and also I am aware that you can install a soft phone on
the laptop ;)
