I wrote this once. It seems I need to write it again. Brad wrote
blackbox for his own needs, not for anyone elses. Do not think I have
requested this or that cool feature to Brad and have received the response

<nyz> write me a patch

What I find now is that the development goals have shifted from being Brad's
window manager to being "everyone's" window manager. You will notice how
few compile time options (if any) blackbox had in the 0.50.x series (probably
even less in 0.40.x and so on). That is because every feature was useful and
needed for the user base that mattered to development - namely, Brad Hughes.
Now that we have conflicting styles of working on the desktop, I think it's
time we either a.) split the source tree or b.) use a different window manager.
I don't like the idea of 300 compile time options, each configurable for each
person. I don't think anyone likes the idea of having 300 run time options
either. Someone either needs to assert themsevles as the "model" user and
assert power, or we all need to shut up and live with the way blackbox is now.

Open for discussion and flame.
