Okay, here's my take on what you're trying to say:

If this windowmanager is Brad Hughes' window manager, why did he release
it to the public? Of course, the simple answer is so that other people can
use it, enjoy it, pass the word along, etc.

Now, using this logic, doesn't that lead to the inevitable request for
features that the userbase, which is no longer just Brad Hughes, because
of the release to the public, is looking for?

They might not be the kind of features you, brad, me, or any other number
of people want. That's not the problem anymore. Blackbox is no longer just
brad's window manager and if other people want to see certain features
added there's nothing overly wrong with it. You might not want these
features, but it's fairly evident that brad has been catering to the new
userbase who have requested things to be added, so there's no way we can all
just jump back and say it's not for other people to ask to get things
included...

Or something.
