I think that a downfall of this, and any other button-based task bar, is
that it doesn't allow (gracefully) the ability to add too many buttons.
At my work, I need to open multiple ssh windows to our colocated
servers (not all at once, but once open, I like to keep them open for
convenience)...I can have mebbe 15 - 20 of these open at any given
time...it would clutter up that bar to the point of making it useless.

I personally use bbpager, and have a predefined number of desktops (7 at
this point)...I've been using BB like this for some time, and know which
desktop belongs to which group of apps (local terminals, mail, www, media,
diagnostics, foreign terminals, office apps)...

I guess it's all personal preference :)
