Sorry but What Jon wrote is still the best theory. Check that ~/ Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/ is there. All triggers are stored in Triggers.plist in that file. Be sure you understand what Jon wrote about ~ being your Home folder. There is also a Library folder in / and this is the one shown in the left pane of a Finder window. The Triggers.plist file should be owned by you and you should have both read and write access. You can see and set these by doing a Get Info on the file.

When you write something like "removed all folders and files pertaining to Quicksilver" it doesn't really help us. You have to tell us which files you removed. Maybe you missed one, maybe you got a path wrong. Without the specifics, we don't know what you did. Note it also helps us to know specifically what triggers you are trying (what's in each pane) to use. Some, don't save due to a known bug, these are so called dynamic triggers, see the FAQ for details:

Reinstalling usually doesn't help these things because it's usually a configuration issue. Your configuration is stored in ~/Library/ Application Support/Quicksilver/ and ~/Library/Preferences/ Quicksilver.plist, not in the Quicksilver.app that you reinstall. So the newly installed QS sees the same configuration and has the same problem.

Still no progress on this issue...any theories, anyone?

Thanks!

Hello Howard! Thanks for your advice on this problem.

Unfortunately, things have evolved to a point now where none of my
triggers work, for anything.

I have uninstalled Quicksilver entirely, removed all folders and files
pertaining to Quicksilver, restarted, fixed permissions and ran Disk
Utility (thinking that might do something), and reinstalled
Quicksilver. As before, the triggers work upon initial creation, but
on restart, they cease to function. And as I mentioned, the latest
development is now that *none* of them work, regardless of what folder
or app they are supposed to trigger. The triggers remain listed in my
Quicksilver triggers list, alas.

I can only assume this has something to do with the installation of
the new SATA drive, as I wrote about above.

Or, if the permissions to my trigger.plist file are not what they are
supposed to be, is there a way to remedy that? I am still using the
Quicksilver launcher to get to everything, but I have become so used
to the triggers I still can't help but invoke them! :)

No, you must have a Quicksilver in your application support folder.
Make sure you looked in ~/Library/Application Support, not just /
Library/Application Support. ~ is the Mac OS X, Unix, and Linux
shorthand for your user's home folder. (You can even use the ~
shorthand in the Terminal.) So in my case, ~ stands for /Users/jon,
and my Quicksilver application support folder is in /Users/jon/ Library/
Application Support. Since others have no way of knowing what your
user name is on your computer, we just use ~ to indicate your home
folder.

I have the exact same problem, trigger are not showing up but the only
one I was able to configure still alive and running ( but I can't
access it )

I have no Quicksilver folder in application support ( and my
permissions are setted ok ), Nothing is showing up in the pref folder
too regarding quicksilver.

Pretty weird and this is sad causer this applications is really a must

keep up the great work

Just recently, in the triggers menu they will not load, all that comes up is a flash-like loading thing in the top-left and it just remains there with nothing happening. I have had a read around and have seen other people have had the problem but with no solution. It may be of note though, that I do not have a quicksilver folder in Application
Support, and therefore notriggerfolder.

I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling with no luck.

Would really value some help.
