I feel similarly negative about selling my soul to Google. Though the
momentum and manpower behind QSB is quite attractive.

Sounds like a good idea worthy of more exploration. I haven't found
anything (launchbar, qsb, butler) as intuitive as QS's 3-pane bezel
interface nor have I found a trigger system like QS.
