I'm a bit confused here. I thought that command-G and command-Esc were
two distinct commands, the first for use when the command window has
already been invoked, and the second for use when it has not been
invoked. Is this incorrect? If not, then how does replacing one with
the other help? Also, are these predefined triggers or do I have to
specify them?

I'd already tried this and it didn't have an affect.

Also, thanks for the link to B56a7. I've downloaded it and installed
it but am having the same difficulties that are others describe -- it
crashes upon first invocation and thereafter crashes immediately upon
relaunch. :(
