I did something of this kind, in the last few weeks. It seems that the issue 
could be related to NFS disks in my network (at home), scanned in the catalog 
under System/Devices/Disks. I deselected them a couple of days ago and I 
haven't had a single glitch since.

Does it work for anybody else.
