Thanks for the link avoision. However the catalog trick, I think,
helps with files or folders on the system, I'm not sure about URLs.
Perhaps if they're in the Safari Bookmarks catalog it might help, but
that's just a guess at this stage.

Another idea is to wait 10 seconds after creating a trigger, switching
between the menu bar 'pages' in Prefs, then closing the Prefs window.
I heard there might be code that doesn't register the trigger until 10
seconds after creation. (This might be an old-wives tale though!)

I do see (null) for web searches sometimes, but I very rarely have a
problem using them in practise.

I'll look at it if no-one else comes up with an answer.
