way files are displayed and searched. It probably needs to hit the disk
more often for each file now, but I don’t think that would account for a
60 second delay. Is it /exactly/ 60 seconds? Because that indicates some
sort of timeout somewhere.
Ok it seems that my impatience blew up my perception of time. I just
timed it and it took around 18 seconds. Still that's ridiculously long
for what it's supposed to do.
In my case that's rather annoying since navigating into those folders is
one of the things I do most often with QS...
BTW something that may be useful to know is that after the first long
delay before moving into the folder, if I try to access the folder again
after a while it works with no delay (so whatever causes the delay seems
to be something that is being cached).
This doesn't seem to persist forever (the next day, I may get the long
delay again even if I didn't reboot or restart QS).
Could anyone try and see if they can replicate my problem?
My guess is that QS is trying to load Quickview data for the pdf's or
something like that.
It surely is, but icon loading is done in another thread and shouldn’t
slow down the main UI (except that all the threads might be asking for
information from the same disk).
