That was discussed and rejected. We didn’t like the idea of requiring the same 
settings to be maintained in more than one place, and there’s a general push to 
reduce (not increase) the number of preferences.

In any case, if you’re not opposed to duplicating your SMTP server setup in two 
places, you can do that right now. Just set up an SMTP server in Mail and tell 
Quicksilver to use Mail as your e-mail handler. (I don’t think there are any 
other choices anyway.)
