The type’s icon comes from the OS or an application that supports that type of 
file. The file’s icon may or may not be different, but it requires reading 
information from the disk where the file is stored to find out. If that’s your 
main system disk, you’d probably never notice, but if it’s a network volume, or 
an external drive that has to wake from sleep, it’s a major delay.
