I've poked around in the Process Manipulation Plugin, and the way the list
of processes is retrieved simply isn't very robust.
You can right-arrow into Activity Monitor to get more items (I'm not sure
if "Include Background Applications" keeps up with that), but I've never
found it to be reliable for anything except applications.
