When working on the right arrowing into Activity Monitor business, I noticed what Lucas said - currently the way of retrieving processes can be 'flaky'. This is partly the fault of Apple: there's no simple way of accessing a list of background/daemon/non-UI processes, so we're stuck at the moment.
