I went back to your original message and made sure I was using the same
version of QS. I created `~/Desktop/Font-like
Objects/deep/nested/structure/` and dragged some random fonts into it,
then created some dummy files using the exact extensions described in
your original message. Everything worked as expected.
The only differences I know between us are:
* Your `.afm` and `.pfb` files are the real thing, while mine are
just text files
* You’re on OS X 10.7
It’s almost certainly not the first thing.
Now, I have to ask… I get why people stayed on 10.6 and 10.9, but
10.7? Isn’t that all the drawbacks of the post Snow Leopard releases
with none of the benefits? :-)
