The next release of Quicksilver (currently available as a Developer Preview) should improve this situation in two ways:

  1. Eliminates duplicate entries from Safari History
2. Speeds up the process of loading the cached catalog items from disk when the app launches. (As in 5+ minutes down to less than 5 seconds.)
