That is currently scary territory considering the udev reliance on
kernel version. Updating a kernel *may* require a udev upgrade in some
cases and a person with hotplug wouldn't want to just go to the udev
page in the udev_update book and follow its instructions. But alas, this
is speculation on my part because I never tried to take a trunk build
and just update the kernel.
