To use system FreeType, delete the freetype directory and after
configure is done, use a sed to change SHARE_FT in the top level
Makefile from a 0 to a 1. I don't know why that is not done
automatically as it is for all others.
To use system Zlib, change SHARE_ZLIB from 0 to 1 in the same
Makefile, BUT DO NOT DELETE the zlib DIRECTORY. Files must be
pulled from there, but the zlib library used will the system one.
