'twas 8.4.{10,11} - apparently the configure script in `expect' doesn't like the double-digit patch version number (assuming major.minor.patch). If someone could confirm this, it would be great, though we put a workaround in the book to simply pass --with-tcl-includes (IIRC) to expect's configure.
