No, the iocharset option goes in /etc/fstab, apparently you
didn't even bother to look at the file I presented, so at
this point, I suppose you're not going to even *try* to make

really stretching things here. The mounting is done exactly
has it has always been done. No difference.

Sure it does. Examine the file again. Hint: it doesn't care
that it is a floppy. It is going on the type of filesystem
it is and adds the codepage option if it is the desired type
of filesystem that needs it.
