Well I don't know anything about that. I've always installed it using
the libXvMCW package. You and I are not on the same page here. The
library you consistently mention has been installed by X since I can
remember. It has never taken a different package other than X.
OK, I'm talking about the libXvMC package that is part of the Xorg-7
libs. Sorry for not being specific enough. I just thought it would
be helpful to know for anyone that has built the modular system and
didn't know where it came from.
I am speaking of the *wrapper* library. It is different. You used to
get it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/unichrome
Now it ships with Xorg. My question is does it ship with XFree.
You asked to confirm that it was installed in Xorg-7. I tried to do that.
$ paco -q /usr/lib/libXvMCW.so
/usr/lib/libXvMCW.so: libXvMC-1.0.1
