Which would be just about everyone who's acquired a PC in the last,
say, 4-5 years or so. :-)
Today in a Fry's advertisement:
Athlon X2 dual-core motherboard - $58.00
1GB DDR2 - $5.00
Less money than the cost of a tank of gas for a motherboard and ram.
Also noted in the same advertisement:
Complete dual-core PC with 17" LCD screen
and multifunction printer - $199.00
Not having "CPU power to waste" is a personal decision nowadays. :-)
