Yeah, now that I (think I) understand the problem, I don't see that we can do much about it. A little while ago I tinkered with gdm - for some of the earlier changes I reformatted the paragraphs. For some of the later items I merely deleted the words I thought were no longer appropriate, leaving the (english) paragraphs in an 'unbalanced' state. I didn't like that, but needs must. 'svn diff' is usually a poor command for understanding what changed in the books (as distinct from *where* something *might* have changed. For my own edits in «english» I have several terms and several browser tabs available. I can see that you can't easily grab the pre-change version of the source in a separate tab (unless you get to the change before the LFS site has been re-rendered), but I don't think there is anything we can do.
