I hope to get back to looking at xindy (TeX) after I have built a current system - perhaps this month, but for the moment BLFS is not a priority for me. Whatever, I can usually adapt to the changes.
What does concern me is the extra run time when editing - 'make' already *feels* very slow (although what mostly takes the time is working out why what should have been a trivial change has broken the xml validation). I do not pretend to understand the _details_ of how this is intended to work (I was not paying attention), but I suspect much of that will need to be worked out as/when any issues become apparent. ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early.
