Hello,

I have a possible solution for this, as I am already integrating Armin's
notes for systemd into the gnome branch.

I have kept the exact same structure of the book and added pages for gnome
as I have gone along.

I have created a systemd page and still kept the udev-extras page as well.

I have started adding a <note> section on the pages that require a systemd
unit file for systemd users.

There are going to be a number of changes to the configure switches for
gnome, to pages that are already mainstream, to accommodate some quirks,
for want of a better word, that the gnome developers have used in their
jhbuild tool (the changes are how I have successfully got gnome working,
so I know that they do work) so rather than just changing the lines out
right I was thinking of doing another section on the same page for gnome
use only.

With this approach, there would be no real need to perhaps have extra .xml
files specific to systemd and or gnome. Everything would be in the one
place.

As Armin has already said, there are few packages that need to be changed
so a seperate repository for a complete systemd BLFS really is not needed.

Once I have completed the integration with this approach, if it is not to
everyones liking, at least it will be easier to seperate things out once
you have decided which approach you like best.

I currently have a few modified pages ready to committ for the systemd
changes, then I am going to start with the gnome specific changes.

Regards,

Christopher.
