Adding to my previous reply - in an ideal world, I would like to feed back to other distros where it is appropriate. The failure of my xindy test on slackbuilds looks like that sort of case, but since I cannot fix the similar issue on BLFS i686 there is for the moment nothing I can offer. Also, that test is a long way from a MWE - even for an index test where a minimum sensible example needs at least two pages plus an index. Perhaps, I might try to convert it to a minimal old-tex example. But to quote a translation of Deorsa Mac Iain Deorsa's gàidhlig poetry - Time, The Deer, Is In The Wood of Hannay (no, I'm not going to diverge into analysis of that - concentrate on the first word). Meanwhile, although I find texinfo somewhat addictive, the world, or at least that part of it that Fernando has committed to BLFS, is moving ever onwards ;-) So, I'll be spending some time trying to see if I can find anything in the asymptote builds between 7.6 and late-November svn. After that, there are a lot of other non-texinfo things to test. Or, I might just accept that my own time account for BLFS is severely overdrawn and heading for closure. ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early. After all, she was an old lady.
