I had private business and needed to make Virtual Box run the systems previously run by vmware, the former works in my system, the latter stopped running months ago. Those for what I needed to do privately today. VirtualBox succeeded running the vmdk (virtual disks) generated by vmplayer.

Tested only logout, shutdown and reboot. Depending on how you start it, will work or not. In the following, I will consider only reboot. To be clear, talking about how started lxqt and if the reboot from lxqt menu works. sddm: does not work. lightdm: works. runlevel 3 $ tail -2 .xinitrc #ck-launch-session dbus-launch --exit-with-session startlxde ck-launch-session dbus-launch --exit-with-session startlxqt works. >> Think one of the problem is with >> >> /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsession >> > > I have not looked at that yet, thanks for the reminder - that > machine is where I'm testing lxqt : I've got a few packages to > rebuild so that I can see if my added definitions (to force lib) are > actually needed (I threw them in as a matter of course). You just need to choose an LXQt theme using lxqt-config-appearance. Siduction LXQt doesn't use it. And installing from the repository, similar problems to ours (it is based on debian unstable). I doubt if any distro is using it as default. Thanks for testing LXQt. Hope after you get it running properly, we will have all needed fixes. One example is this initial session. Should have better defaults. Responsible is jleclerc, same one from sddm. Perhaps he is doing too much. He uses archlinux to test, I think, because he maintains those packages at AUR. -- []s, Fernando -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
