That part is sorted - I set the theme to Maldives instead of maldives. The lfs theme works here. Then I tried to use Plasma (that was the main point of this exercise), but even after adding /opt/qt5/bin to the PATH in /etc/sddm.conf I just get a black screen with an xmessage window which says "Could not start D-Bus. Can you call qdbus ?" For now, this is just a reminder that changing to a missing or broken theme gives a white screen instead of the sddm greeter. And the breeze theme (from kf5, I think) seems to be broken (tested before adding /opt/qt5/bin to sddm.conf, but I'm not minded to retest). ĸen -- This one goes up to eleven: but only on a clear day, with the wind in the right direction. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
