Most error messages find matches on list archives.  Doing this from
Xorg, i n a 100x40 terminal, a google similar to yesterday's, for
for
 redefinition of ‘struct iphdr’
gives me 14 lines of "menu" (All/Images/Videos/etc/etc each on one
line) with the first three matches.  And as I scroll down it is
comparatively difficult to parse the three or four lines of plain
text.
