The reason I was asking for help on acroread was because I was not aware of any open source PDF readers that I considered decent. I always try open source if I can. I prefer compiling the package myself. But xpdf makes such ugly documents in my opinion, and the UI is poor for my sort of use. I spend a lot of time reading PDF documents so I am not willing to sacrifice the quality of acrobat reader. If it was something I only used occasionally I would be more willing.
