I understand what you mean, and I should have been more specific. On my laptop, I have a Logitech cordless mouse whose reciever is plugged on an usb port. When I power-up my machine, it is not discovered at all until I unplug the device, and plug it in back. It behaves the same for usk key, though I rarely plug it before starting the machine.... > > You shouldn't need anything besides basic LFS to handle that kind of > thing. Where did you hear otherwise?
I've posted a question about this on linuxfr.org, and I was told to use coldplug, that's why I mention it here. If you know where the bug could stand, I would appreciate to know how to solve it. > > > Not sure what 'coldplug' is, but a bit of googling suggests it was > something that used to be used on Gentoo and SuSE... no other distros > seem to mention it, and nothing I can find is newer than a year ago... That's what I saw for myself, that's why I posted here... To find at least clues from people who know ! Thanks for your answer anyway... > > Simon
