Hello, im not sure how this works or if im doing the right thing so please let me know. About 4 months ago i built my own lfs, i was a newbie at the moment so as you can imagine i went through hard times. Now, i have a little more experience on the matter and i have set my mind on continuing with blfs. It is necesary for me to explain the situation in which i find myself, for reasons that i cant find any logical explanation to right now, i did not install or configure the network interfaces during my lfs installation. I also built my system on a hard disk alone. When i started to read the the blfs documentation i noticed that i was going to need many packages that i was not going to be able to download from the internet. What i did was that i downloaded everything and burned it on a dvd which i mounted on my blfs system and copied everything in a directory. It was to my beleif that this would be enough and that i would be able to start the blfs manual from the beginning, as i started unpacking the packages and trying installations, everything started going wrong. Im getting errors everywhere. Compiling errors mostly, which i did not get before while i was building my lfs. I have also tried going back to lfs and setting up the network interface, but this also has not worked. If anyone can give me any advice on what to do, because i have also read all the tips on line and documentation and that has not helped, please let me know. I am open to any suggestion.
Thank you in advance...
