The proper thing is to use libxml2 as apparently (from reading the
patch) it relied upon some data structures inside zlib that were NOT
public and were changed.  2.7.7 fixes those.  My results show that
2.7.7 resolves the issue as does disabling zlib support in libxml2 (it
doesn't entirely disable it though ... it's quite odd what exactly it
"stops" using zlib for.)
