 I know nothing about drag-and-drop (I don't keep icons on my
desktop, only overlapping windows), but copy and paster is important
and I *do* use rxvt-unicode.

 I know it tends to replace tabs with spaces, which makes it a bit of
a pain when fixing up patches by hand, but basic copy and paste work.
I've got the page for the gimp open. Highlight the first batch of
instructions by holding down the left mouse button and drawing it
over the text, then paste with the middle button. I get:

patch -Np1 -i ../gimp-2.6.11-security_fixes-1.patch &&
patch -Np1 -i ../gimp-2.6.11-libpng_fixes-1.patch &&
./configure --prefix=/usr \
            --sysconfdir=/etc &&
make

 Works for me in fluxbox (for the short time I use that) and icewm
(1.3).

 I have no problems with adding things that are useful and will be
maintained in the book, particularly when there is important config
information to impart. Yes, I dislike adding packages, but needs
must.
